I wouldn't elaborate on small details like Rachael getting chased around by sec ones and Sam complaining that these batch of juniors are noisy. Oter than all those stuff, most importantly, I had a lesson learnt with Mr. Miranda. I can't exactly remember how this lesson started but I remembered him talking about Ld.
LD's current situation.
1. Punctuality.
Well, for all LD sessions and school events like lit fest and such, I've alwaysbeen on time. But this, does not apply to all Ld members. People coming in late, going off early, or even absence w/o informing or not valid reasons(like tutition etc) and now, Mr.M's not very pleased.
2. Mindset & Attitude.
Quoted from Mr.M, "Ld's not a fun club, or study club or homework club. This is ELDDS. You don't choose things that you think it's fun to do. Every piece of assignment I gave you involves a skill, not for entertainment." Agreed. If we want Ld to be recognised, first of all, everyone must have a proper attitude and a right mindset. We must first respect our own own cca. Actions speak louder than words.
3. Discipline.
"See those NPCC/ NCC girls every morning? They march, they command. You find them crazy? You know what? If it comes to discipline, every single one of them is more disciplined than any of you here. Dance, they are always early. Doing stretching and warm-up exercises w/o being told." What about ld? Do we really have no discipline at all? e got to reflect on ourseves, we must do something about it NOW.
4. Being an ld member.
Proud to say you're an ld member? Well, I am. If you yourself is not proud of your own cca, how do you expect people to look at you (& your cca)? Look down upon us? Some people asked Mr.M, "Must we buy the LD tee?", reply was, "Well, it is not compulsory. If you don't, then get that white form, fill it up, and I'd KICK YOU OUT."
5. How you hold yourself and how others look upon you.
You don't go around in sloppy attire and proudly say you're in ld. You're bringing yourself down and the name of ld. How will the rest see us as? Is this the right way you should hold yourself? Breaking scool rules etc. Especially to committee members(none in particular), jiayou okay!
6. Committment.
Think ld is just a cca? It's more than just that. Committment to ld. It all lies within you. You choose if you want to be committed or not. Committment is important. W/o committment, the whole of Ld is a blank club. Literally blank.
7. To be an all-rounder.
You should not choose if you want to be a debator, a writer or an actor. Becuz in Ld, you have tdo all three. Well. I've done alot of drama and written a few artcles, essays and scripts but when it comes to debating, I've no confidence. Prolly becuz I've nevr had any proper training. Oratorical round was scary enough and obviously I knew I couldn't make it to the semi-finals. But if given the chance, I wouldn't mind debating. Not eveyone an do evething but Ibelieve as long as I put in my effort, I will do my best. If i can do it, so could you!

Find it funny? Mr. M is brave to say that, are you? Don't just say it, but from the bottom of your heart, & most importantly, you must really mean it and do something so that others can also proudly tell us that they think 'LdRox'.
Mr M's preparing alot of stuff for us. They are coming up soon.
I'm looking forward to LD's tee (the design by Mr M is so amazing!), a new committee and the future for ld. what lies ahead for us? Only the LD members can create our own future.
For those who didn't turn up for yesterday's session for whatever reason, (I won't name),
I think you've missed out alot indeed. To you, it might be a lecture by Mr. Miranda, but to me, it was a very valuable lesson that I cherish.
Mr M, you do deserve the most outstanding cca teacher award and I believe on day, you'd lift your head up high when you walk past other teahers, feeling proud of LD and to feel deserved the award.
Without Mr. M, I think Ld would be nothing better off.
