Ld on thursday was simply, lovely.
At first, I thought it was gonna be another boring and tiring 4-5 hours.
But, no.
First, I was excused earlier from pbl and went down to the foyer with elaine and rachael.
We thought we were early, but there were EVEN EARLIER peeps.
But well, still early in any case.
So yeah, boarded the bus to Alliance Francaise Theatre to watch a performance by three funny, and the world's best people in the world(to me).
Yes, the performance is probably one of the BEST ever.
They hosted and played games using improvisation,
and my, ain't i amazed. :D
Was really fun AND funny and they interacted with the audience as well.
Okay then the show ended after an hour or so, we had to leave.
Can't believe.
My mood then: wanted to stay in the theatre and cried OUT LOUD, and then I could watch it another time, but, no. :O
So we boarded the bus and headed off to our workshop place.
I'd spare you the details on the bus. :D
Reached there, briefed by Mr M and had a tiny little break.
Went to change into my own clothes cuz it was more comfortable for me.
Yeah, when I came out I was so bored and looked around.
And there! We got elainesitting there, readingher FAVOURITEST BOOK.
Haha, forever doing something intellectual huh, elaine.

Eveyone was chatting away except.. SAM!
Looked so lonely and nerdy cuz she pulled her skirt to her kness when she sat down.
Laugh Out Loud.

And then after that we had our workshop, split into2 groups, A and B.
A is under Eugennia and B is under Mohita.
By the way,they are the only two sec3s that went. :D
Oh yeah so I was in A. (Cuz harriet chose that for me.)
And I had Harriet(of course), Eugenia(DUH), Elaine , Tessa and some others for company.
Sam was in B but we had fun alright.
AND I GOT THE BIGGEST SHOCK/SURPRISE IN MY WHOLE LIFE.
OUR INSTRUCTORS WERE THE THREE DUDES FROM THE PERFORMANCE!!
Boy, ain't we glad! :D
So A got Rob (robbert for short) and B ot Derek as instructor.
Shawn was like their 'mentor' and switched between two classrooms.
Rob's a blonde with blue eyes(i think), how cool is that! :D
Yeah so we had fun.
The experience was simply indescribable.
Played MANY MANY MANY uncountable games.
But the few which i remembered the most clearly was:
1. One word game. In a group, each person is to say one word to complete a story and it turns out pretty cool and weird at the same time. Was with Harriet and Eugenia and Eugenia keep saying farting and our whole story was about farting, thanks to Eugenia. ._.
2. Giving presents. We were supposed to give each other imaginary presents and receive yours happily. And must think of what your own present is. Funny.
3. Counting numbers. We are supposed to count from 1 and go up as high as we could but the rules are that the same number cannot be said by more than 1 person. Was hard, because it seems like I and Harriet had telepathy. (??!!) Haha, kept saying at the same time.
4. The Queen game. Was funny. Eugenia played Queen and there are supposed to have servants to keep the Queen happy. If she doesn't like what you do/say, you are dead and out of the game.
5. You-are-my-hands. Paired with Harriet,she was my hands and I had no control of what to do with my hands. THEN WE SWITCHED AROUND. MUAHAHAH. :D
6. YES LET'S! Okay darn cool game. Whatever someone said something, the whole group have to say'Yes, let's!' There's a storyline. For example for what we played,
Let's go attend music lessons!
Yes let's!
(act like walking)
Let's sing at the highest pitch!
(cracked my voice)
Yes let's!
Let's sing out of tune!
(the glass broke. 8D)
Yes let's!
Let's stop singing!
Yes let's!
Let's meet our singing teacher!
(act like walking again)
Yes let's!
Let's beat our teacher up!
Yes let's!
And that was the end of our short and wonderful story.

Okay there are countless of games that we played, and I wouldn't end my post if i continued.
Just one thing for sure: If you weren't there, YOU MISSED OUT ALOT.
Oh yeah one random thing.
While playing, B suddenly barged into out room and went running around and we thought like what is that? So we all stood up and ran after them and into THEIR room. Then Rob told Derek: "I don't know what's this about, but I just had to make sure I win this. :D"
Hahaha so funny loh we are a bunch of crazy dudes.
Okay then after a few hours it was the end of the workshop and I didn't realise.
So sad, wanted to cry so badly. Can't bear to leave, I'm sure everyone shared the same sentiments.

And it turned out pretty well. :D

And then when we reached Newton Mrt, it was already like 7.30 plus.
Then Eugenia, Sam, Tessa, Elaine and I sat ouside the 7-11 and had some refreshments.
We were hungry okay, didn't eat during the whole workshop+performance.
So yeah after that took the train and HAD SERIOUSLY ALOT OF FUN.
I wanted to take photo of Euenia but it was just so happened that Sam had to turn around with her tongue sticking out. So unglam. I laughed throughout the whole journey.

I realised I've been blogging alot recently.
Like almost everyday.
That's like crazy.
Haha, I wonder what's up with me nowadays.

ZOMFG. That's super near.
Today is tuesday.
I have another few days to study only.

Wednesday and thursday.
Friday's national celebration and apparently I have tuition on sunday.
I was supposed to have tuition on saturday as well but since it's national day the tuition centre is closed. And I was asked (by JOEYKOH) to go to christabel's house. o.O For some celebration thing. Well, I would much want to go, but I haven't asked my mama yet, cuz CTs are NEAR.

D: I can count them as last minute revision i guess.Monday's a holiday, so I might have to lock myself up in the room and mug my guts out and I mean it. I'm gonna be studying like mad so I PROMISE, not more blogging until friday, when all nightmares end. (:

Okay I have put up some photos(as promised) to liven up my blog. But i guess it'd be quite dead for a long long time yeah baby. So don't miss me too much, peeps, I needa rush off to study. Had drama games, were fabulous.

Because the groups have to be even so I swopped with Sharlene so atleast Iman's roup had one sectwo.
Okay that is basically why I had to change, but didn't mind, was fun.

Today's holiday.
Well, the school actually recognises our efforts for working so hard for learning festival.
Which was actually a disappointment to me.
The long hours have drained my energy,
and the same stalls for those long hours have bored me.
Not to mention sitting under the hot sun to watch performances almost had me killed,
and I was burning red from the suntan.
Like seriously burning red. (like a crab.)
Well, after this whole thing,
I got quite pissed off over several things which I prefer not to mention.
But spending the day with my friends were awesome.
Namely Jolene, Ethel, Rosemund, Joey, LorraineW, Elaine,Yamin.(& some others.)
And SHARLENE. (Hehe, our source of entertainment.)
I missed out quite a few people I thought I would see,
but then again, Azalea taught me to not think about it anymore. :)
And I think I actually should listen to her.

A lesson learnt (with Mr.M)

Ld was enriching yesterday.
I wouldn't elaborate on small details like Rachael getting chased around by sec ones and Sam complaining that these batch of juniors are noisy. Oter than all those stuff, most importantly, I had a lesson learnt with Mr. Miranda. I can't exactly remember how this lesson started but I remembered him talking about Ld.
LD's current situation.

1. Punctuality.
Well, for all LD sessions and school events like lit fest and such, I've alwaysbeen on time. But this, does not apply to all Ld members. People coming in late, going off early, or even absence w/o informing or not valid reasons(like tutition etc) and now, Mr.M's not very pleased.

2. Mindset & Attitude.
Quoted from Mr.M, "Ld's not a fun club, or study club or homework club. This is ELDDS. You don't choose things that you think it's fun to do. Every piece of assignment I gave you involves a skill, not for entertainment." Agreed. If we want Ld to be recognised, first of all, everyone must have a proper attitude and a right mindset. We must first respect our own own cca. Actions speak louder than words.

3. Discipline.
"See those NPCC/ NCC girls every morning? They march, they command. You find them crazy? You know what? If it comes to discipline, every single one of them is more disciplined than any of you here. Dance, they are always early. Doing stretching and warm-up exercises w/o being told." What about ld? Do we really have no discipline at all? e got to reflect on ourseves, we must do something about it NOW.

4. Being an ld member.
Proud to say you're an ld member? Well, I am. If you yourself is not proud of your own cca, how do you expect people to look at you (& your cca)? Look down upon us? Some people asked Mr.M, "Must we buy the LD tee?", reply was, "Well, it is not compulsory. If you don't, then get that white form, fill it up, and I'd KICK YOU OUT."

5. How you hold yourself and how others look upon you.
You don't go around in sloppy attire and proudly say you're in ld. You're bringing yourself down and the name of ld. How will the rest see us as? Is this the right way you should hold yourself? Breaking scool rules etc. Especially to committee members(none in particular), jiayou okay!

6. Committment.
Think ld is just a cca? It's more than just that. Committment to ld. It all lies within you. You choose if you want to be committed or not. Committment is important. W/o committment, the whole of Ld is a blank club. Literally blank.

7. To be an all-rounder.
You should not choose if you want to be a debator, a writer or an actor. Becuz in Ld, you have tdo all three. Well. I've done alot of drama and written a few artcles, essays and scripts but when it comes to debating, I've no confidence. Prolly becuz I've nevr had any proper training. Oratorical round was scary enough and obviously I knew I couldn't make it to the semi-finals. But if given the chance, I wouldn't mind debating. Not eveyone an do evething but Ibelieve as long as I put in my effort, I will do my best. If i can do it, so could you!

Find it funny? Mr. M is brave to say that, are you? Don't just say it, but from the bottom of your heart, & most importantly, you must really mean it and do something so that others can also proudly tell us that they think 'LdRox'.

I'm looking forward to LD's tee (the design by Mr M is so amazing!), a new committee and the future for ld. what lies ahead for us? Only the LD members can create our own future.

For those who didn't turn up for yesterday's session for whatever reason, (I won't name),
I think you've missed out alot indeed. To you, it might be a lecture by Mr. Miranda, but to me, it was a very valuable lesson that I cherish.
Mr M, you do deserve the most outstanding cca teacher award and I believe on day, you'd lift your head up high when you walk past other teahers, feeling proud of LD and to feel deserved the award.
Without Mr. M, I think Ld would be nothing better off.

One word: Tiring.
It is indeed fun, but boring at the same time.

the worst day ever.
I woke up late in the morning,
and rushed to school like crazy.
and had to carry the BIG big bird around: ETHEL'S bday present.
i wasn't late in the end.
I was glad there was no mass run,
but the whole marching thing and the speech drives me crazy.
yeah, total defence.
then during PE,
we were supposed to run 2 rounds for warm up,
but had to do an extra 3,
now a total of 5,
cos 3 particular idiots did not tuck in their shirts. D:
i've yet to find out who.
so after that 5 rounds i felt so horible.
did i mention that i was still having fever?
yeah, so i had to go sickbay and rest and skip PE.
after that i went back to class, and took my temperature,
which turned out to be a shocking 38.8.
which REALLY frighted alot of people, myself too, definitely.
i needed to drink water cos apparently i finished my bottle,
but the water coolers in the school were all cut off,
cos of that bloody total defence,
so i had no choice but to head home.
Dearest class chairperson, YAMIN and councillor cum tablemate ROSEMUND
brought me to the foyer cos we needed mr.teo's permission
to let me leave school.
so i sat outside the general office for more than 30 minutes or so,
yet that man is still not in sight.
luckily miss ho liyi(last year science teacher) helped me sign the form and i could go home.
yeah, that's about it and of course i went to see a doctor,
got to consume so many medicine. D:
so to sum it up,
THANKYOU beloved class chair YAMIN and ROSEMUND twinie for being there when i needed you the most. <3 love you guys.
You've no idea how sweet they are.
Yamin brought me to the sickbay during PE and carried my bag for me when i had to go home.
